Lakemba Arabic Community HUB

Who is Tripoli and Mena Association
The Community Hub receives funding from the NSW Department of Family & Community Services: Community Services to provide a community hub offering information, advice and referrals to community users.
Community Development is an integral part of Tripoli and Mena which aims to support people to work together to gain control over resources, knowledge and information, social relationships and decision-making. It also promotes the development of existing support groups and services assisting the Arabic speaking community, particularly families and children from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.
Tripoli and Mena’s Community Development aspires to facilitate leadership, pride, independence, and capacity building via community consultations. As a result, insight into the needs of the Arabic speaking community is provided which is used to determine planning, policies, and resource provision.
The Community Hub also runs a Mothers group whereby mothers from the community are able to meet at our facility and engage in different social activities. Childcare is also available on site for the duration of the session.
If you require further information please contact the Community Worker on (02) 9758 3436.

What
We are very happy with the service, the staff are very helpful, we get whatever we need. They check on my mum regularly and organise and supply what we need, my mum has been with them for a while and she has moved from a level two to a level four as her needs increased
“mum lives longer because of them, mum has dementia, and the service has done so much to help her and me over the years, they never stop, I am so grateful”.
“TMA accommodates my needs; they tell me all the care I can get, and I just pick what I want”.
